DELIVERY

Violet Darkling uses the Royal Mail for all of its domestic delivery services. This cost will be included in the total price once a destination has been selected. For all international deliveries Violet Darkling uses FedEx. This cost will be calculated once a destination has been selected.

All purchases will be dispatched on the same day if the item in question is in stock, otherwise it will be sent on the day of the next Violet Darkling delivery from our workshop. Please allow up to 8 weeks for delivery. You will be notified once your order has been dispatched along with a tracker number.

EXCHANGE AND REFUNDS

Violet Darkling offers a full refund on purchases. This option gives people 7 days to return or exchange a purchase. Once the jewellery has been returned, it will be inspected to make sure it has not been worn or damaged. If the return or exchange is accepted, you will receive a full refund within 24 hours or an exchange note will be issued. We are unable to offer refunds or exchanges on any worn or damaged jewellery. In this case, it will be sent back and you will not be entitled to our refund/exchange policy. We do not offer a return or exchange policy on earrings; this is due to hygiene reasons. All jewellery must be returned in the same condition as it was sent out.

Each customer is provided with fully pre-paid ‘next day delivery’ returns envelope, should an exchange or refund be necessary. Customers are advised to keep a record of proof of postage as Violet Darkling cannot be held responsible for any packages that are not received. In the event of an exchange or refund, please email sales@violetdarkling.com stating whether you require an exchange or refund, order number and in addition, a brief explanation.

Please note you can only exchange items for a different size, based on stock availability. If you wish to exchange your item for alternative product, we suggest that you return it for a store credit and purchase the new item separately.

These minor colour differences may either occur as a result of the website images being computer generated, or due to the fact that each stone is handpicked and is therefore subject to market availability.

All silver jewellery that is plated will fade with wear.

Jewellery care:

Always store your jewellery in separate pouches so it doesn't get damage by other pieces.
Frequent cleaning is recommended to maintain its true beauty.
After each wearing, gently wipe each piece of jewellery clean of make-up and skin oils with a 100% cotton cloth.
Over time silver can tarnish, we recommend using a soft silver polishing cloth or a non - abrasive silver polish to keep it looking great.
Protect your jewellery from scratches, sharp blows, chemicals, extreme temperatures, and sunlight as the sun may fade some gemstones.
Wear jewellery for appropriate tasks, avoid wearing rings when cleaning, gardening or exercising etc.
Do not wear jewellery while in a pool, hot tub or bathing. Salt water, chlorine and perspiration can damage various gemstones and metals including gold.
Sterling silver will polish up by rubbing or buffing it with a soft cotton cloth or a Sunshine Cloth. If you store silver in plastic bags with an interlocking seal, it will be less prone to tarnish.
Pearls and opals should be stored in fabric instead of plastic because they need to "breathe".

COLLECTION AND PROCESSING OF PERSONAL DATA

Personal data is information that identifies an individual, e.g. your name, your address, e-mail or postal address. Violet Darkling only collects information if it is volunteered by the customer when registering his/her online payment details.

Use and Divulgence of Personal Data

Violet Darkling will use personal data if the customer has agreed to receive emails when registering exclusively for purposes of individual customer care, or to give you access to special information, or for general communication with the customer. Violet Darkling will not sell your personal data to third parties nor market it elsewhere. The employees of Violet Darkling are duty-bound to respect the confidentiality of your data and abide by the UK's Jewellery Retail Codes of Conduct.

Freedom of Choice
